Back in June of last year, a website called Pottermore was announced as a place for Harry Potter fans to congregate and experience the world created by author J.K. Rowling online. It was also reported at the the time that Pottermore would be the ONLY place where fans would be able to buy digital e-books of the Harry Potter book series, which previously were NOT available for sale anywhere else. Today, 9 months later, Pottermore is finally offering the Harry Potter books for sale in e-book format ? but is anyone still planning to buy?

Fans in the US can head over to the Pottermore Store HERE and purchase an e-book of any of the Harry Potter books. If you buy all of the Harry Potter e-books at once, you get a discount. Honestly, I feel like this is many years too late. I know that folks will still pony up and buy the e-books now that they are available but I really believe they should?ve been selling e-books all along. Because the e-books were unavailable, electronic bootleg versions of the books were made and are readily available for free download online. Still, it?s nice that fans of the book series can now purchase official e-book versions of the Harry Potter books ? all these years after Harry Potter was a HUGE phenomenon.
