First Look: The CW Releases The First ?Arrow? Promo Photo

The New Hero on the Block

Back in January we learned that The CW greenlit a new superhero TV series based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow (a character that made numerous appearances on the now-defunct CW superhero series Smallville) and in February we learned that Hung?s Stephen Amell won the role of Oliver Queen / Green Arrow. Today we get our first look at the first photo from his new Arrow TV series. Click below to check out the just-released first image of Arrow?s Green Arrow superhero.

I love this. While Green Arrow was never my fave superhero of the bunch (I much prefer Green Lantern, despite the absolutely shitty film that we got last Summer), I am intrigued by this new Arrow TV series. I loved Stephen Amell on Hung and I think he?ll make a great Green Arrow. I?m glad to see that Green Arrow?s costume looks pretty decent in this promo photo, I understand it was three-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood. I am a bit bothered that The CW intends to change Green Arrow?s name to just Arrow (hence the title of the TV series). I will continue to call this superhero Green Arrow because that is his name. Still ? I?m thus far intrigued by this new series. I can?t wait to see more promo stuff in the coming weeks and months. We?ll have to wait until Fall to see the series premiere episode but ? it looks like they?re off to a good start with this new show.
