Heidi Montag Releases New EP: Caption This Photo

Heidi Montag is back and she still thinks she has shot at a singing career. A new EP has put the one time reality TV starlet back in the spotlight, which is why she was chosen as Right Celebrity?s Caption This photo contest for the week.

It has been a while since we have heard anything about or from famewhore Heidi Montag and I will have more on her forte back into the limelight in one hot second. First though I want to remind you all about our super fun Caption This photo contest. All you have to do is take a look at the pic of Montag and then caption it by leaving your super funny remarks in the below comments section. Then check back next week when a brand new hot topic and pic are posted to see if your remarks are in black and white as the winning caption. It is very simple and lots of fun, I mean seriously who doesn?t have something to say about Spencer Pratt?s wife.

So the former The Hills star has released the EP ?Dreams Come True? which fans can buy on iTunes. Along with the release of the EP there is of course a cover that is totally Heidi showing off her assets that you will need to check out. There are a total of four songs that have actually been released previously but apparently Montag thought lumping them into an EP would help make them hits. Personally I don?t really know why Heidi is using her singing as a way to get her back into the fame game. I mean the girl can?t sing that is for sure. If she wants to try and make a name for herself in Hollywood I would say she should stick to being a villain on reality TV. I just don?t see high hopes for a music career for her. Then again I am so not a fan so I could be a little biased.

Frances Bean Cobain Reacts: A few days ago, raging ranting queen Courtney Love stuck her foot in her mouth when she tweeted/hinted that there was a love affair between Dave Grohl and her daughter Frances Bean Cobain. The next day, 19-year-old Frances Bean reacted to her mother?s tyrannous rants by saying, ?While I?m generally silent o the affairs of my biological mother, her recent tirade has taken a gross turn. I have never been approached by Dave Grohl in more than a platonic way. I?m in a monogamous relationship and very happy. Twitter should ban my mother.? Hey, that?s what we said!
No Faces Reunion: The Faces reunion is off, but not really by choice. According to Billboard, Rod Stewart� is too ill to perform and is held up in Los Angeles with a strep throat. But the show must go on, with or without Stewart; Mich Hucknall, lead singer of Simply Red, who has collaborated with Faces in the past, will take over vocals.

One Direction Reveal Details Of Justin Bieber Collabo

British boy banders clear the air with MTV News about their studio visit with the teen superstar.

There's been some chatter about a possible <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/_one_direction_/artist.jhtml">One Direction</a> collaboration with the one-man boy band known as <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> for some time now. It all started in March when Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, teased that he and the Biebs were thinking about working with the <a href="/news/articles/1680996/one-direction-whats-next.jhtml">chart-topping boy band</a>. "[A collaboration is] very possible. He likes them and thinks they are good dudes. All people of that generation should be there to help each other." The chatter had died down for a bit, until this week when the guys of 1D tweeted that they had <a href="/news/articles/1682522/justin-bieber-one-direction-recording.jhtml">visited Bieber in the studio</a>. <CENTER><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:757133/cp~name%3Dnews%26id%3D1682682%26vid%3D757133%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A757133" width="430" height="242" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></CENTER> That led fans to speculate that the six guys had recorded something together, though it wasn't clear what. Tweets like "expect the unexpected" fueled the fire. But when MTV News caught up with the guys in New York City, they were quick to clarify that all they were there to do was listen to some of their pal's new music. "We actually went down to the studio to listen to some of Justin Bieber's tracks," Liam Payne explained. "He invited us down and we had a good listen, but there's no real collaboration or anything." With chatter about any big group-sing in the works between the six heartthrobs now over and done, Payne gave us a little <a href="/news/articles/1681863/justin-bieber-believe-album.jhtml">critique of Believe</a>, which drops later this year. "We were just having a listen to some of his music and hanging out," he said, adding, "[It's a] really good, really good album." That seems to jibe with some of the tweets the guys sent out on Wednesday, prompting the initial collaboration conjecture. One Direction's Niall Horan wrote, "In the studio with our boy @justinbieber last night, it's gona sound great!" Payne later added, "Got a first listen to Justin Bieber's new album yesterday wowww big songs!!! It's gunna be a smash ... Expect the unexpected :O."

'Mad Men' Takes A Turn For The Geeky

AMC series nerds out with 'Lost' references and Ken Cosgrove's sci-fi novel about a robot and a bridge.

All right, AMC, if we didn't get it before, we certainly do now: You dudes are a bunch of nerds.

No one is going to argue that point what with your record-smashing "Walking Dead," or the developing series based on "Dead" creator Robert Kirkman's "Thief of Thieves" comic book. But all those many, many geek references on this week's "Mad Men"? Consider the message received, loud and clear.

What, you missed the '60s-set drama's absurd amount of nerd-out moments last night (April 15)? For good measure, then, we'll walk you through them all.

"Mad Men" season five draws major attention for "fattening up" Betty Draper actress January Jones.

First and foremost, the episode, titled "Signal 30" and directed by series star (and "Iron Man 2" actor) John Slattery, heralded the arrival of science fiction and fantasy novelist Ben Hargrove, the pen name for ad man Kenny Cosgrove (played by actor Aaron Stanton, already a fixture in geek culture for providing his voice and likeness to the lead role in video game "L.A. Noir"). Previously operating in secret, Ken's private passion was outted by Cynthia, Ken's all-too-forgettable wife who is suddenly a whole lot more memorable when you realize that she's played by Larisa Oleynik, formerly the titular shape-shifter on '90s Nickelodeon series "The Secret World of Alex Mack."

Cynthia (or is it Cheryl? Like Don's new wife Megan, we can't really recall) spilled the beans on "The Punishment of X4," an old story of Ken's, during a dinner party held at Pete and Trudy Campbell's home. Her description of the plot: "There's this bridge between these two planets and thousands of humans travel on it every day, and there's this robot who does maintenance on the bridge. One day he removes a bolt, the bridge collapses, and everyone dies."

"There's more to it than that," a nervous Cosgrove tells the hushed room. Don pushes for further details: Why does the robot destroy the bridge? "Because he's a robot," Ken answers, clearly encouraged by Don's interest. "Those people tell him what to do and he doesn't have the power to make any decisions, except he can decide whether that bolt's on or off."

"Or he just hates commuters," Pete quips in response.

Ken's fledgling career as a sci-fi novelist wasn't the only nerdy reference at the Campbell family's eventful dinner: Texas college sniper Charles Whitman was briefly misidentified as Charles Widmore, a clear Easter egg for "Lost" fans. Indeed, "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof (who already enjoyed a shoutout to his six-season sci-fi series earlier in the evening on "The Simpsons") took it upon himself to further flesh out Cosgrove's "X4" through a series of fan-fiction tweets. Well worth a read from the man behind the DHARMA Initiative.

Later, at the same dinner, the faucet at Chez Campbell burst for the second time in the same episode, prompting Don to remove his dress shirt and get to work on fixing the sink. The heroic action drew immediate Superman comparisons from the onlooking housewives, which is far from the first time that Jon Hamm has been connected to the Man of Steel.

Meanwhile, on a subtler note, Pete Campbell took a turn for the super-villainous this week. Aside from being completely shown up by Don's ability to fix a sink in seconds, Pete spent the episode flirting with and fantasizing about a high school senior in his driver's education class, and later having sex with a prostitute, but only after she switched into king-worshipping role-playing mode. He even got into an intense fist fight with fellow Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce partner Lane Pryce; usually the consummate British gentlemen on the AMC series, don't forget that Lane is played by Jared Harris, who also appears as science terrorist David Robert Jones on Fox's cult sci-fi series "Fringe" and recently enjoyed a celebrated turn as legendary villain Professor Moriarty in "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows." Pete clearly hasn't seen the aforementioned show and film, but he nevertheless learned the hard way (and by hard way I mean via serious ass-kicking) that you never, ever get into a knockout brawl with Dumbledore's son.

All of this served as a reminder to me that Pete, whose views on Don oscillated between hero worship and pure spite throughout the episode, has known about Draper's secret identity for several seasons now. With his latest turn toward the dark side, can it really be much longer before he uses that bit of proverbial kryptonite against the artist formerly known as Dick Whitman? Only Matt Weiner knows for sure.

Finally, we return to Ken's side-career as a writer, news of which spread throughout SCDP like wildfire. After a scolding from silver fox playboy Roger Sterling (played by the aforementioned Slattery, whose own Roger got his groove back a bit in this week's episode, albeit to mixed results for his company), Cosgrove was persuaded to let his alter-ego Ben Hargrove go, but not before Peggy Olsen was able to read one of Ken's short sci-fi stories, "the one in Galaxy about the girl who laid eggs." (Lindelof has titled the story "Ova," though whether or not he tweets excerpts from the yarn remains to be seen.)

But where Ben Hargrove dies, Ken is reborn anew as Dave Algonquin, writer of "The Man with the Miniature Orchestra." The episode closes with a reading from Cosgrove's latest effort: "There were phrases of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony that still made Coe cry. He always thought it had to do with the circumstances of the composition itself. He imagined Beethoven deaf and soul-sick, his heart broken, scribbling furiously while Death stood in the doorway, clipping his nails. Still, Coe thought, it might have been living in the country that was making him cry. It was killing him with its silence and loneliness, making everything ordinary too beautiful to bear."

Ken's latest written effort isn't exactly nerd-worthy, no, but it's the perfect example of why it's so fantastic to have "Mad Men" back after a year and a half, geek call-outs be damned.

And despite the unemployed 21-year-old?s claims that the Palin family ? including Bristol?s mother, former vice presidential candidate Sarah ? hinders him from visiting his son, Bristol is adamant that her ex has always been free to see Tripp. ?I wish Levi would be like, ?Hey Bristol, can I have Tripp for the weekend??? Bristol says. ?I would be so willing and glad to do that. He continues to lie.?

But above all, Bristol's main fear is that Tripp will be humiliated at school. ?I don?t want him to go to elementary school with 10 half-siblings,? she says. ?That would really affect him.? She adds, ?I hope that this child is raised with two parents. He needs to step up to the plate and be there,? she sighs. ?I thought he had learned his lesson the first time.?

Jada Pinkett Smith Slams Divorce Rumors

Jada Pinkett Smith is speaking out about the divorce rumors surrounding her and hubby Will Smith. She sets the record straight on the state of her marriage.

In recent interview with French magazine Gala Jada dished on the constant speculation that she is headed to divorce court. The actress/singer simply said that things are just fine with her and her man. Here is a statement from the interview.

?These rumors are completely untrue. I travel a lot because of my work, just like Will does. ? But our lifestyle hasn?t changed. Before we had the kids, we were already far away from each other quite often because of separate projects.?

As for the constant rumors that the couple is living apart, she calls those claims ridiculous. Yes their hectic schedules does call for them to be a part but they are living together. What I really liked was how when asked why her marriage is always under fire she talked about how each yer it happens that a celebrity couple comes under fire like this from the media and it appears to be her and Will?s turn. Seriously with the amount of celeb couples breaking up for real does there really need to be fake break up stories?

After months of speculation and countless rumors Jada Pinkett Smith has cleared the air about the reported break up of her marriage and she is calling all those rumors a bunch of B.S.� Usually you think that with all the speculation that there might be some truth to the rumors but not with the Smith?s. However just because she spoke her mind doesn?t mean that the rumors are going to stop. Nope I see many break up rumors for these two, maybe soon we will hear Will?s two cents on these crazy accusations. Jada has spoken, what do you think about what she had to say?

Ryan O'Neal Has Prostate Cancer

Woe is Ryan O'Neal AGAIN and this time it's not his fault. Ryan has had leukemia, been arrested with his son for meth possession, has a fucked up relationship with all of his children and now he's battling stage 4 prostate cancer. Stage 4 cancer sounds like some beyond serious shit, but Ryan tells People that he's undergoing treatment right now and he's not going to take a ride on Farrah Fawcett's angel hair wings anytime soon. According to Ryan, he's going to fully recover.

"Recently I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer. Although I was shocked and stunned by the news, I feel fortunate that it was detected early and according to my extraordinary team of doctors the prognosis is positive for a full recovery.

I am deeply grateful for the support of my friends and family during this time, and I urge everyone to get regular check-ups, as early detection is the best defense against this horrible disease that has afflicted so many."

Ryan also said that he has a book coming out May 1st.

Never mind that the phrases "early detection" and "stage 4 cancer" don't normally go together, this news come just days after Ryan shaded our earth God Oprah by blaming her for the failure of his reality show on her network. And now Ryan has cancer. Oprah, YOU WOULDN'T!?

Feist?s new music video for ?Bittersweet Melodies? is a bunch of bittersweet memories. Featuring Argentine photographer Irina Werning?s famous photo project Back To The Future, the video is more of a slideshow with a few bits of video thrown in. It?s actually a perfect combination. Check it out.

Chances are you?ve probably already seen Werning?s work, but it really works here. The recreation of old photographs by the very same people, juxtaposed with Feist?s nostalgic lyrics and melancholic tone makes the slide show that much more powerful.

?Bittersweet Melodies? is from Feist?s critically acclaimed 4th studio album Metals. Here?s the video:

Feist also revealed the artwork for her single with Mastodon, which is titled Feistodon. The single is set to hit stores on Record Store Day (April 21). The image was posted by Spin, and features Feist?s face mashed together with guitarist Brent Hind?s tattooed hairline, and a black tongue.

Feist will be headlining the Green Man Festival this year. She?s also recently announced a list of U.S. and Europe tour dates for the rest of the year. Stops include Coachella, The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Bonnaroo and Pitchfork Festival.

As promised, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a> and her boys Lil Wayne, T.I., Wiz Khalifa and Andre 3000 dropped a new <a href="/news/articles/1672529/lil-wayne-kesha-ti-wiz-khalifa-remix.jhtml">remix of "Sleazy"</a> on Tuesday (December 13). <div class="player-placeholder right" title="MTV News Extended Play: Ke$ha" id="id:1661961" width="240" height="211"></div> The Bangladesh-produced song originally appeared on K-Dollar's 2010 <a href="/news/articles/1651081/keha-gets-sleazy-on-new-cannibal-track.jhtml">Cannibal album</a> before a <a href="/news/articles/1656039/andre-3000-pops-up-on-kehas-sleazy-remix.jhtml">remix featuring Andre</a> popped up earlier this year. The latest version of the song is available for purchase and is all over blogs like <a href="http://www.rap-up.com/2011/12/12/new-music-kesha-f-wiz-khalifa-andre-3000-ti-lil-wayne-sleazy-remix/" target="_blank">Rap-Up.com</a>. The song gets a bit dirtier and introspective thanks to verses from the guys that play up the track's bumping beat. Wiz kicks it off, rapping about designer clothes and his lady love, Amber Rose. "OK, I'm young and I'm tatted/ I get them bucks like an addict/ Rocking this Christian Dior/ I spend so much on my fabric/ I got a wifey at home/ And what she wants she can have it," he spits before going on about chilling on the beach, being rich and his prowess in the bedroom. Sitting in between Wiz and Tip is Andre's recycled verse, before T.I. gets his shot and gets sexy, asking Ke$ha, "Do you know what to do with me?" before he launches into a verse all about how good he is to the ladies. "Bad bitches know me/ So don't bother introducing me/ They want me more than diamonds," he brags before explaining that it has a lot to do with his impressive anatomy. Wayne closes it out, adding his own signature flair. "We be on that sh-- that no one be on/ That's what we on/ Smoke that neon, Kings of Leon/ Dynamite, Napoleon/ Got some skinnies and a tee on/ And some Vans," he rhymes about his famous sense of Weezy-fied style before the song circles back to the funky chorus, where Ke$ha declares that she doesn't "need you or your brand-new Benz/ Or your bougie friends/ I don't need love lookin' like diamonds/ Lookin' like diamonds." If any of K's fans or critics were wondering if she has the swagger to chill with the guys, she displayed some of her sass when she <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/KESHASUXX" target="_blank">tweeted</a> about the remix. "Question ANIMALS ... who can say they got with Lil Wayne, T.I., Andre 3000 and Wiz Khalifa on a f---ing hot track??" she asked. "ill give u one clue ... Its $." Friends Fear For Shifty Shellshock

Things have gone from bad to worse for troubled singer Shifty Shellshock. The former Crazy Town performer has been in a coma in an LA hospital since last week for what reportedly may be the result of his drug use. The 37-year-old, who was born Seth Brooks Binzer, has dealt with drug abuse for most of his career and also appeared on VH1's Celebrity Rehab 1 and Sober House 1 & 2. According to a friend close to Shifty, "We have been so worried that something like this would happen, we are all praying that he makes it through this obstacle." Shifty's sting of legal problems are not going away anytime soon either. He is still scheduled to appear this week in court for a pre-trial hearing for a cocaine arrest that happened in February.

Katy Perry's Hair History: Her Best Looks ... So Far!

After Perry tweeted that she's changed up her locks (again), MTV News remembers her more daring 'dos.

Breaking news: Katy Perry has changed her hair again!

The singer took to Twitter to announce that she's found a new hair color, but her fans will have to wait to find out what it is. "You know what's great about having poison oak?! NOTHING #itchgasm Somehow in the middle of all this... I found time to change my hair color," she wrote. "Finally... #takeaguess #foreverawalkingpantonepalette."

Despite not sharing too much about her hair color, she did offer up this tidbit of a tease about her current look: "Pretty stoked about my 90's The Craft meets Garbage meets Tank Girl meets early No Doubt meets Ty from Clueless lewk 4 dis wknd #ohmygoth."

Perry had famously been sporting berry-blue hair since January, changing the hue and length but maintaining indigo as the base, strutting her blue self all over carpets, hitting up events and wearing it in an ad campaign for Adidas.

"Of course, being Katy, she is a lot more edgy and she's cooler and she likes to take a lot of risks. And I love that she's like, 'I'm feeling a little blue, let's go blue' — not in her energy, just in her hair color," Perry's hair colorist, Rita Hazan, explained to MTV News. "I felt like it's the perfect color for her, because her eyes are blue and she has the perfect skin tone to be a really vibrant, really cool, intense blue."

Now, it seems that Perry has once again changed up her look — and Hazan said that's just Katy being Katy. "She's kind of this candy-coated sort of person," Hazan said. "It's nice to see her experiment with different things."

Fans might have to wait to see what Perry's latest look is, but to tide you over, MTV News has rounded up some of Perry's wildest, most memorable hairstyles — so far.

2010 Kids' Choice Awards
Perry kept it traditionally Katy, sporting what happens to be her signature look: black hair with cropped, Bettie Page-style bangs. To make the look even more Perry-fied, she graced the carpet in a multicolored, sparkly, showgirl-style bodysuit and sparkly heels.

2011 Grammys
In a particularly glam moment, Perry softened her sometimes-severe hair and went for soft waves. Sure, it was still jet-black, but the middle part and the curls fit the occasion, giving her a truly old school Hollywood look, certainly matching her angelic ensemble.

"Smurfs" Premiere
Later in 2011, Perry began to get more and more experimental with her hair color. Transitioning out of the black, Katy hit up the "Smurfs" red carpet in July surprisingly not in blue hair, but in an ombre look that faded from blonde to strawberry blonde. She paid homage to Smurfette by donning a sequined dress with the character's image on it.

2011 VMAs
Pulling a completely funky move on her way through the rainbow, shortly after the "Smurfs" premiere, she hit up the VMAs in late August with piercing pink hair. It was a look she adopted right before going blonde and then settling on the blue. Dressed up like a couture geisha, Perry's lavender-hued pink was flirty and fun.

2012 Kids' Choice Awards
Throwing her blue hair for a loop, Perry hit up the Kids' Choice Awards last month with a multihued ponytail. With touches of purple and blue, the neon hair recalled lots of the colors she had been sporting over the last few months, serving as the perfect farewell to this phase of her hair evolution. Plus, it just happened to go perfectly with her bright-green outfit.
