Fiona Apple Announces A New Summer Tour

Back in February, Fiona Apple announced an East Coast tour to promote the forthcoming release of her new album The Idler Wheel is Wiser ? Today we learn that will be hitting the road again this Summer for a more extensive US tour. Starting in June, Fiona will be playing shows all across the US in support of the release of her new single Every Single Night, the first from her new album. On June 19, Clean Slate/Epic Recordswill release Fiona Apple?s first album in seven years.The GRAMMY�-winning artist will launch a summer headline tour that evening at the State Theatre in Ithaca, NY. The run, which will include performances at The Governors Ball Music Festival on New York City?s Randall?s Island (June 24) and Nashville?s historic Ryman Auditorium (July 13), will conclude at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, CA on July 29.
Like Apple?s 1999 record, When the Pawn?, the new album?s title is a poem:

THE IDLER WHEEL IS WISER
THAN THE DRIVER OF THE SCREW
AND WHIPPING CORDS WILL SERVE YOU MORE
THAN ROPES WILL EVER DO.

?Every Single Night,? the collection?s first single, will be available beginning Tuesday, April 24, on the iTunes Store, where fans will also be able to pre-order the album. The cover for THE IDLER WHEEL? will feature an illustration by Apple.

This will be a great tour ? she is hitting all the major cities, full of fans hungry for Fiona Apple. I love that she will be ending this tour right here in LA.
