I?ve always thought that laying down to push a baby out seems counter-productive in some ways! I ended up with an emerg c-section for my first baby, but that was after my archaic attempt to give birth naturally?.was told to hold my breath and push?was told to lay down with feel in stirrups?.was told to stay in the bed and not move around during labour?this was in a leading UK hospital at the time. It was so disappointing ? considering I?d spent 10 weeks going to this really forward thinking pre-natal group!
