Scott Bricklin has been a musician, singer/songwriter, recording engineer and producer/arranger for as long as he can remember. Perhaps that?s why his latest self-titled album is so good?he doesn?t write music about life; music is his life. And every song has a smooth, aqueous beauty and upbeat cool that transitions from a finger-picked folk acoustic sound in ?Jesus on the Metro? to the rich tone of his tenor vocals in ?Down for the Count?. His lyrics are often humble meditations about the ether or reminiscing, as he quips on the last track: ?somehow we forgot/ the things we meant to say.? His words mimic the emotion and intelligence that is emitted by his musical performance. Also, Scott?s been touring with others since at least 1979; thus, his graceful stage presence reflects a certain comfort, or cheerfulness, when he plays live. If you?re looking for an excellent musician with a peaceful timbre to his music, then check out Scott Bricklin in ourBeatCrave Fav series below?
